Espírito Santo, located on Brazil’s southeastern coast, is the second-largest coffee-producing state and the top producer of Robusta (locally known as Conilon) in Brazil. While it is best known for Robusta, it also produces Arabica in the highland areas.

Robusta (Coffea canephora) – Also called the main coffee type in Espírito Santo (over 75% of the state's production), is grown in low-altitude, warmer areas: mostly coastal and northern zones
Used for espresso blends, instant coffee, and increasingly specialty Robusta (fine Robusta)
Grows at low elevations (100–600 meters)
Higher caffeine (2.2–2.7%)
Drought and pest resistant
Mechanically and manually harvested
Strong body, lower acidity
Notes: dark chocolate, roasted nuts, woody, earthy, slightly bitter
Great for crema and strength in espresso
